The EDGE is a FREE Cognia accredited, diverse school encompassing virtual, blended, dual enrollment, Advanced Placement, career tech, athletics, and a variety of elective course options for 6th–12th grade Alabama state residents who are willing to travel to Elmore County for required exams and mandatory state testing.

Edgenuity Instructional Services, the online platform used for middle and high school students, offers courses monitored and supervised by highly qualified, Alabama-certified onsite instructors. Edgenuity provides flexible online and blended learning solutions aligned to the Alabama College & Career Ready Standards that promote student success and give educators the tools they need to deliver more effective instruction. Flex Point, our online platform for grades K-5, offers courses in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Science, and History/Social Sciences aligned to the Alabama Course of Study.

The flexibility of EDGE allows students to do their daily work anywhere and anytime internet is available. Students also get individual attention with certified Alabama teachers available for daily virtual and in-person tutoring. Students who qualify can still participate in clubs, athletics, cheer, dance, band, etc. and “on-campus” electives and Career Technical Education courses. We are a unique and growing schoolof over 300 students with a dedicated staff and teachers with over 100 years of combined experience in education.
